Since 1988, more than $45 million has been raised for the fight against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Leukemia Ball, the National Capital Area Chapter’s annual black-tie event. The 25th Anniversary Leukemia Ball will be held on March 31st this year at the Washington Convention Center.

Each year, company sponsorships and contributions help raise money for research and treatments that not only benefit blood cancer patients, but are also being used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach cancer, skin cancer, and severe rheumatoid arthritis.

Bert Smith has partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on the Leukemia Ball for the past 25 years (since LLS’s inception in 1988) and has done a large part to help fund the fight against blood cancers.
